To be considered for the JLB Young Women Voluntarism Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: have an outstanding leadership and volunteer record and shows the promise of continued success; reside in Maryland and attends a Maryland public, charter, private, parochial high school or home-schooled in eligible counties; be a female graduating senior with plans to matriculate to an accredited, two- or four-year, post-secondary institution in the upcoming fall; and not be a current member or immediate relative of a current member of the Junior League of Baltimore.
The Junior League of Baltimore is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. By publicly recognizing and rewarding the efforts of young women leaders, we hope to encourage others to become committed to exceptional civic leadership. This scholarship is awarded to a Maryland female graduating senior who has performed outstanding leadership during her high school years.
