The Rizzo Family Foundation is committed to strengthening our community by making a lasting, positive impact on the lives of children and their families who are in need of educational, physical, emotional, and/or financial assistance.
Scholarship Details
- Supports undergraduate study at an accredited college or university
- Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and required equipment
- Award focuses on students whose financial need significantly impacts their ability to attend college
- Selection emphasizes character, perseverance, and service to others
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a graduating high school senior from Washington, D.C.
- Must plan to enroll in an accredited college or university
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must show involvement in school or community activities
- Must demonstrate achievement and promise in their chosen field
- Must be able to clearly articulate a significant personal hardship (e.g., financial, familial, medical, or emotional)
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application by the specified deadline.
- Provide a detailed personal statement describing hardships faced and how they were overcome.
- Explain how those experiences have shaped educational and career goals.
- Submit any required supporting materials as outlined in the application.
- Await review by the foundation’s selection committee.
