Scholarship Description

The Kristy J. Hendrickson Scholarship will award $10,000 to one new student each year, with three annual renewals for students who continue to meet the eligibility requirements. Recipients will also be eligible for an optional paid summer internship at Landau Associates (internship is not required to receive the scholarship).

Scholarship Details

  • One scholarship of $10,000 awarded annually to a new recipient
  • Renewable for up to three additional years for students who continue to meet eligibility requirements
  • Open to women pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees in Environmental Engineering fields, including Environmental, Civil-Environmental, Atmospheric, or Geologic Engineering
  • Recipients may apply for an optional paid summer internship at Landau Associates (internship not required)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be a female student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an eligible Environmental Engineering discipline
  • Must be a high school senior, high school graduate, current undergraduate student, or graduate student
  • Must reside or attend college in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Louisiana, Texas, or Florida
  • Must plan to enroll full-time at an accredited four-year college or university for the upcoming academic year
  • Must have a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

Application Process

  1. Complete the official scholarship application form
  2. Prepare required documents such as transcripts, recommendation letters, and statements of purpose or essays as instructed
  3. Submit proof of enrollment or planned full-time enrollment at an accredited four-year institution
  4. Submit all application materials by the stated deadline

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $10,000 award. Up to 1 award will be granted. Assuming there are qualified applicants, preference will be given to applicants studying Environmental Engineering.
