Lady Legacy awards one four-year scholarship each year to a deserving female high school senior, with an interest in golf, who will be attending college in the state of Alabama (The scholarship winner does not have to play golf in college). To be eligible for the Lady Legacy Scholarship, applicants must: be an amateur golfer who is a resident of the counties of Blount, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Walker or Tuscaloosa; be a graduate of an accredited secondary school where she has shown evidence of academic excellence, good citizenship and sportsmanship, and an ACT score of 22; and demonstrate financial need.
The recipient must maintain at least a C+ (2.4 out of 4) her freshman year and a B- (2.8 out of 4) thereafter. If funds are available, other scholarships will be considered. The decision of the Lady Legacy Scholarship Board of Directors will be based on the submitted material and a personal interview. Candidate must provide from parents’ previous year’s tax return a copy of the page indicating Adjusted Gross Income. Dollar amounts for the scholarship will vary.
