The Marion Dorroh Memorial Scholarship supports new library professionals in New Mexico. The program provides scholarship awards to students enrolled in advanced degree programs in library and information science at ALA-accredited colleges and universities. This scholarship is available to both full-time and part-time students. The deadline for 2024 Marion Dorroh Memorial Scholarship applications is June 14, 2024.
Eligibility
- Enrolled in part-time or full-time advanced degree program in library and information slice at an ALA-accredited college or university.
- Must live or work in the state of New Mexico.
Application Requirements
- Scholarship Application Form
- Current Resume or CV
- Statement of no more than 750 words addressing 1) professional and future goals, including if you intend to serve New Mexico communities, 2) past academic and community achievement, and 3) contributions to the profession.
- Most recent transcript (unofficial transcripts or copies are acceptable)
- Two letters of reference, at least one of which is from a librarian, information professional, or current or previous supervisor.
- Copy of acceptance letter or contact information at the library school for confirmation of your acceptance.
