Scholarship Description

FCS’s annual Martin Rasnick Memorial Research Scholarship honors the legacy of Martin Rasnick by furthering the education of a graduate or undergraduate student working toward biological resources conservation.

Scholarship Details

  • Award amount: $1,000
  • Open to undergraduate, graduate students, and early-career professionals
  • Submission deadline: May 31st
  • Funds may be used for education, research, and related expenses

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be enrolled in or have completed a degree program in biology, ecology, urban planning, or a related field
  • Must be pursuing or interested in a career in environmental conservation or consulting
  • Must be a full-time student (if currently enrolled)
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (if a student)
  • Early-career professionals in environmental conservation are also eligible

Application Process

  1. Complete the scholarship application form.
  2. Submit academic transcripts.
  3. Provide an original research paper or abstract (minimum 1,500 words).
  4. Submit one letter of recommendation.
  5. Ensure all materials are submitted by May 31st.
