Scholarship Description

The Massachusetts High Demand Scholarship Program encourages degree completion in high demand disciplines that will help address the workforce needs of the Commonwealth by providing scholarship assistance to support the educational costs of students pursuing such programs of study. Applicants must be permanent legal residents of Massachusetts for at least one year prior to the opening of the academic year, a U.S. Citizen or non-citizen eligible under Title IV regulations and have applied for financial aid, using the standard Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applicants must be enrolled in a certificate, associate's or bachelor's degree program in a designated high need field at a public college or university in Massachusetts and must not have received a prior bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.

The mission of the Massachusetts Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) is to promote and enhance access to higher education by delivering quality student financial aid information and services to residents of the Commonwealth, and thus ensuring that they have an opportunity to enrich their lives and contribute to the economic development and social progress of the state. OSFA has a variety of merit- and need-based grant, scholarship, no-interest loan and tuition waiver programs available for your use at numerous schools.
