We’ve awarded over $38 million into bright futures, helping more than 17,000 students from Asian and Pacific Islander American, Hispanic, and Historically Black college and university backgrounds (HBCUs).
Scholarship Details
- Sponsored through a partnership between McDonald’s and APIA Scholars
- Scholarships are awarded in two funding tiers
- Tier 1 recipients receive a $20,000 scholarship distributed over four years
- Tier 2 recipients receive a one-time $5,000 scholarship award
- Provides access to educational support and networking opportunities
- Recognizes academic achievement, community involvement, and financial need
Eligibility Criteria
- Must meet the eligibility requirements established by APIA Scholars
- Must plan to pursue postsecondary education
- Must demonstrate academic achievement
- Must demonstrate involvement in community service or leadership activities
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must submit a complete scholarship application and all required supporting materials
Application Process
- Complete the APIA Scholars scholarship application for the coming academic year
- Provide academic records and any required educational documentation
- Submit information regarding community involvement, leadership experiences, and extracurricular activities
- Provide documentation or information demonstrating financial need
- Submit all required application materials before the stated deadline
- Monitor communications regarding scholarship review, selection, and award notifications
