Melmed Law Group offers an annual scholarship to one college student in February of each year. Students must submit a 500-1,00 word essay on the topic of how they were impacted by an issue of workplace fairness. You can be creative: this can be a reaction to a news story, a personal anecdote, or anything else. What does workplace fairness mean to you in the context of a larger social and economic structure?
Scholarship Details
- One-time award of $5,000
- Funds disbursed directly to the student’s university or college
- Submission period: January 1 – February 15 each year
- Winner notified by email at the end of February
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Must be a law student or have completed at least one year of college/university and be currently enrolled
Application Process
- Write a 500–1,000 word essay addressing how you have been impacted by an issue of workplace fairness
- Discuss what workplace fairness means to you in the context of broader social and economic structures
- Prepare the following application materials:
- Proof of enrollment at a college or university
- Unofficial transcript
- PDF copy of your essay response
- Email all required documents between January 1 and February 15
- Await notification of award decision at the end of February
Our Collegiate Scholarship Award is a one-time, monetary scholarship award that is to be used for academic purposes. You can use it to pay for school tuition, room-and-board, or other school-related expenses.
