Michael McGoldrick was a successful academic, teacher, investor, conservationist, and patron of the arts. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, and exploring. He had a voracious appetite for both knowledge and adventure. While he enjoyed a variety of professional careers, there was a common thread of helping others expand their knowledge, whether in the classroom or board room. He encouraged his students and co-workers to consider the world through a lens of comparative economics and compassionate human rights.
