Scholarship Description

As we continue working toward a more inclusive and supportive community, The Arc Fayette recognizes the critical need for skilled, compassionate, and well-trained professionals in the IDD field. This scholarship is an investment in future educators, therapists, advocates, and healthcare providers, individuals who will play a crucial role in empowering and improving the lives of those we serve.

Scholarship Details

  • $2,000 scholarship awarded to eligible students
  • Open to both undergraduate and graduate students
  • Focuses on students pursuing careers related to IDD services

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must reside in Fayette County, PA or within a 30-mile radius
  • Must have completed at least one semester of college coursework
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program related to IDD (e.g., Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, etc.)
  • Open to students in undergraduate or graduate programs

Application Process

  1. Visit the official website to access the application
  2. Submit a completed online application between July 1st and September 30th
  3. Include a personal statement outlining your commitment to the IDD community
  4. Submit letters of recommendation as part of your application
  5. Applications will be reviewed between October 1st and October 21st
  6. Selected awardees will be notified by October 30th, and scholarship funds will be sent directly to their institutions
