Scholarship Description

The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston is offering multiple scholarship opportunities for the upcoming academic year to U.S. and Canadian students of Greek descent or Greek Orthodox faith.

Scholarship Details

  • Four Charles C. Condes Memorial Scholarships valued at $8,000 each
  • Two St. George's Hellenic Benefit Society of Tsamantas Scholarships valued at $7,500 each
  • Scholarships are one-time awards
  • Awarded to undergraduate students entering their second, third, or fourth year of study
  • Award ceremony will be held at the Metropolis Ministry Awards Banquet on June 8th

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Must be of Greek descent or Greek Orthodox faith
  • Must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate two- or four-year degree program at an accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada

Application Process

  1. Visit the Metropolis of Boston Scholarship Portal to access the application form.
  2. Complete the application form and provide all requested materials.
  3. Submit your completed application by April 14th.
  4. The Metropolis Scholarship Committee will evaluate applications and inform candidates of the results in May.
  5. The scholarship recipients will be recognized at the annual Metropolis Ministry Awards Banquet on June 8th.

The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston encourages all eligible students to take advantage of this incredible opportunity. We recommend that you allow at least two weeks to prepare your application. You should plan for any extra time it might take to procure an official transcript from your college / university.
