At Michael’s Way, we believe that every student should have the opportunity to pursue higher education, even in the face of a cancer diagnosis. In partnership with Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education, we provide full 4-year scholarships to two deserving students each year. Along with tuition support, scholars receive personalized guidance to help them find the college that best fits their needs and aspirations.
Scholarship Details
- Full 4-year scholarships awarded to two students annually
- Includes tuition support and personalized college guidance
- Applications are open until May 31
- Winners will be notified in June
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a current high school junior
- Diagnosed with pediatric cancer before age 18
- Reside in or receive treatment in the Delaware Valley
- Plan to enroll in one of the following colleges for Fall admissions:
- Community College of Philadelphia
- Elizabethtown College
- Kutztown University
- Neumann University
- St. Joseph’s University
- University of Pennsylvania
- Villanova University
- West Chester University
- Williamson College of the Trades
Application Process
- Submit your application between January and May
- Prepare the following documents:
- A letter of recommendation from a non-family member
- High school transcripts
- Confirmation of cancer diagnosis from a medical professional
- Parents’ tax return
- A one-page personal essay explaining how your cancer journey has shaped your life, goals, and dreams
- Submit your application online
- Receive an automatic reply confirming that your application has been received
