All admitted students are automatically considered for scholarships. In most instances, the application for admission, including the required essay, is sufficient for award consideration. Any supplemental documents required for particular scholarships will be provided on our site. Scholarship selection criteria vary. Satisfying the initial criteria listed does not guarantee that a student will receive an award.
Michigan State offers scholarships to incoming students transferring to Michigan State from another college or university. Dual enrollment, early/middle college and other credits earned during high school will not be considered. Individuals who have earned a bachelor’s degree are not eligible for consideration for transfer scholarships. The amount awarded to each student varies each year. While there's no application due date, scholarships will still be awarded based on transcripts submitted to MSU by specified deadlines, depending on which semester is being applied for.
