Scholarship Description

The Mon Health Medical Center Foundation Scholarships support area students pursuing careers in selected health care professions. Scholarships are awarded based on scholastic achievement and financial need. Recipients may receive the scholarship for up to four years, and funds may be used towards different expenses.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarship award is $1,000 annually
  • Scholarships may be awarded for up to four years
  • Funds may be used for tuition, room and board, books and lab fees

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be enrolled in, accepted to, or have applied to a health career program at an accredited higher education school in the United States, including a college, university, technical school or trade school
  • Eligible programs include certificates, degrees and diplomas
  • Eligible programs include various nursing, healthcare-related and pre-med studies
  • Meet at least either a 3.0 grade point average, an ACT score of 21 or an SAT score of 1060
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Vandalia Health northern region employees and their children may apply, regardless of residence

Application Process

  1. Confirm that you meet at least one of the required scholastic minimums and demonstrate financial need
  2. Complete and submit the scholarship application
  3. Complete the Mon Health Payment Request Form
  4. Complete the Scholarship Agreement
  5. Submit all required application materials according to the application instructions
