The Mountain America Foundation will grant scholarships to 150 graduating high school students. The Elevate Scholarship is designed to support youth who embrace Mountain America’s core values and contribute to their communities.
Scholarship Details
- 150 scholarships awarded annually
- Designed for students who demonstrate leadership, service, and strong values
- Supports first-time enrollment in higher education
- Scholarship funds are sent directly to eligible institutions
Eligibility Criteria
- Resident of Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, or Utah within Mountain America’s service footprint
- Graduating high school student in the current school year
- Or high school graduate since spring 2023 with delayed enrollment due to military, humanitarian, or religious service
- Or high school graduate since spring 2020 with up to a five-year extended gap before higher education
- Must enroll full time at a qualifying higher education institution
- Institution must have a Federal School Code
- Scholarship may not be deferred
Application Process
- Complete the Elevate Scholarship application
- Provide scholastic records and academic history
- Demonstrate character, work ethic, and leadership experience
- Describe community involvement and contributions
- Submit all required materials by the published deadline
Scholarships granted through this program can only be sent to higher education institutions with a Federal School Code. Applicants must be enrolled as a higher education student for the first time in the coming fall. If received, this scholarship cannot be deferred.
