The Navigate Your Future Scholarship is offered to a high school graduate continuing his or her education in the aviation industry. By making scholarships available, NATF’s goal is to foster and promote careers in the general aviation industry.
Scholarship Details
- Award amount is $2,500
- One scholarship is awarded each year
- The scholarship supports one year of full-time undergraduate study
- Scholarship payments are made jointly to the recipient and their college or university
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a high school senior planning a career in the general aviation field
- Must be enrolled in or accepted to an aviation-related program at an accredited college or university
- Must demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in general aviation
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application by the last Friday in June
- Upload an official high school transcript
- Submit a letter of recommendation
- Provide a letter of acceptance from an accredited college or university
- Write and submit a personal statement describing your career goals in general aviation, education plan, flight training goals, and at least two reasons why you should be selected for the scholarship
- Wait for notification, as recipients are informed by the end of July and all other applicants are notified by mid-August
The Navigate Your Future Scholarship checks will be made payable jointly to the recipient and their college/university (and must be endorsed by both). The scholarship checks will be mailed to each recipient's address stipulated on the scholarship acknowledgement form.
