Scholarship Description

The NAWIC Founders’ Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) assists in providing the construction industry with trained employees through higher education and certified training programs.

Scholarship Details

  • Over $250,000 awarded annually in construction-related scholarships
  • Individual award amounts start at $1,000
  • Some NAWIC local chapters may also offer additional scholarships
  • Supports associate and bachelor’s degree programs in construction fields

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be enrolled in a construction-related associate or bachelor’s degree program in the U.S.
  • High school seniors and graduate students are not eligible
  • Must have at least one academic term remaining
  • May be enrolled full-time or part-time
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required
  • School must be located in the United States

Application Process

  1. Complete the scholarship application form available on the NFSF website
  2. Submit the application and all required attachments via email by March 6th
  3. If your school only mails transcripts, email us for mailing instructions
  4. Ensure official sealed transcripts are received by March 6th
  5. Wait for notification from the NFSF Administrator regarding your application status

NFSF was founded in 1963, is a self-supporting scholarship program, and is a 509(a)(3) designated organization so contributions are tax deductible as a charitable donation. We have the capability to administer scholarships to college or trade school students for your company or local NAWIC chapter.
