In support of its mission to promote education and careers in international trade, NCITD has established an annual scholarship for students interested in pursuing a career in international trade. Scholarships (minimum $1,000) will be paid directly to the institution, in the name of the awardee(s).
Scholarship Details
- Minimum award amount of $1,000
- Open to undergraduate (junior status or above) and graduate students
- One-year NCITD membership included for awardee(s)
- Opportunity to attend NCITD monthly meetings
Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university
- Pursuing a degree related to international trade (e.g., political science, international relations, economics, international business, etc.)
- Undergraduates must have junior status or higher
- Minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent “B” average
- Open to both U.S. and non-U.S. students studying in the U.S.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in international trade
Application Process
- Complete the NCITD Scholarship Application Form by April 21st at 11:59pm ET
- Submit a current resume or CV
- Provide an unofficial transcript (if applicable)
- Write and submit a narrative (up to 2,000 words) describing your career goals, interest, and experience in international trade
- Submit at least one letter of recommendation, preferably from an NCITD member, professor, or employer
Begun in 2010, the NCITD International Trade Scholarship is for students pursuing undergraduate, graduate or professional degrees who have an interest in pursuing a career in international trade, which they demonstrate through their education, work experience, volunteering, or any other extracurricular activities related to international trade.
