Scholarship Description

We believe that structured education at the undergraduate and graduate levels is important to an individual's successful professional development in the field. By offering the NEHA/AAS Scholarships to eligible undergraduate and graduate students, we hope to positively contribute to the future of environmental health. The scholarship program aims to encourage early commitment by students to pursue a career in environmental health.

Scholarship Details

  • One undergraduate scholarship of $2,650 awarded in honor of Dr. Sheila Davidson Pressley
  • One undergraduate scholarship of $2,650 awarded in honor of Dr. Carolyn Hester Harvey
  • Undergraduate awards applied directly toward tuition and fees for junior or senior year

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university, U.S. territory, or freely associated state
  • Applicants must be in a recognized environmental health sciences curriculum or coursework qualifying them for the RS or REHS exam
  • Applicants must be juniors or seniors in fall with at least sixty academic credits completed and must intend to pursue a career in environmental health

Application Process

  1. Complete the online scholarship application form
  2. Obtain and include one faculty letter of support
  3. Upload an official or unofficial academic transcript
  4. Submit a current resume outlining academic and professional experience
  5. Write and submit required essays
  6. Submit all materials by January 31st
