Scholarship Description

The Red Sox Foundation’s New England Service Scholarship initiative recognizes graduating high school seniors across New England who are making a meaningful impact through service in their local communities by awarding them a $1,000 college scholarship. In addition to the scholarship, recipients will participate in a service project in Boston before being honored on the field at Fenway Park.

Scholarship Details

  • A minimum of 100 students will receive a $1,000 scholarship
  • Open to graduating public high school seniors in New England
  • Recipients will participate in a service project in Boston
  • Winners will be honored on the field at Fenway Park

Eligibility

  • Must be graduating from a public high school in one of the six New England states:

    • Connecticut
    • Maine
    • Massachusetts
    • New Hampshire
    • Rhode Island
    • Vermont
  • Must demonstrate strong financial need
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to helping their community

Application Process

  1. Confirm eligibility based on location, school type, and service involvement
  2. Complete the scholarship application form
  3. Provide details demonstrating financial need and community service experience
  4. Save your application if you need to return later to avoid losing progress
  5. Submit the completed application before the deadline

We will award a minimum of 100 applicants with a $1,000 post-secondary scholarship, with winners being notified by May 18th. Please note, the application will time out overnight so be sure to save as a draft if you need to return to the form later. Please note Red Sox Scholars and family of Red Sox employees are ineligible to apply.
