Scholarship Details
- Up to $7,800 in scholarship funding per recipient
- Funds may be used for tuition, transportation, technology, and other education-related expenses
- Includes academic advising and career coaching
- Supports students pursuing associate degrees or professional certifications
- Focuses on high-demand career pathways
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be between 17 and 29 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan region
- Must be pursuing an associate degree or professional certification
- Must have a household income at or below 80% of the area median income
- Must be enrolled in a program related to one of New Futures’ Career Pathways: IT, Education, Hospitality & Culinary Arts, Health Sciences, Construction & Trades, Public Service, or Business
Application Process
- Visit the New Futures website to confirm eligibility and access the application
- Complete the online application form and submit all required documents
- Include proof of high school completion or GED
- Submit documentation verifying income and residency
- Select your intended Career Pathway and describe your career vision and goals
- Participate in an interview if selected as a finalist
