If you’re a college sophomore, junior, or senior who will be pursuing a program of study related to the hydropower industry as an undergraduate or graduate student in the coming academic year, you may be eligible for the $2,500 National Hydropower Association (NHA) Past Chairs’ Legacy Scholarship.
Scholarship Details
- $2,500 scholarship award for the coming academic year
- Funded through contributions from NHA, the Hydropower Foundation, industry organizations, and individual donors
- Awarded to one promising student pursuing a waterpower-related field of study
- Application period opens January 2nd and closes February 12th
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
- Must be a current college sophomore or junior or a current graduate student
- May also be enrolled in an accredited vocational or technical school or program
- Must be enrolled full time in an accredited institution
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Must be pursuing a program related to the waterpower industry such as engineering, biology, fisheries, hydrology, communications, or environmental studies

- Confirm eligibility based on academic standing, field of study, and enrollment status
- Prepare required academic and personal information for submission
- Complete the online scholarship application through Scholarship America
- Submit the full application by February 12th
