Scholarship Description

In collaboration with Nightwing and The AFCEA Educational Foundation, Nightwing is seeking a scholarship recipient that aligns with their mission on advancing national security in the cyber intelligence community. The Nightwing Scholarship will award one $5,000 scholarship to an outstanding student pursuing a degree in Cyber Intelligence.

Scholarship Details

  • One scholarship awarded in the amount of $5,000
  • Available to undergraduate and graduate students
  • Funds are applied toward ongoing higher-level academic education
  • Offered in collaboration with Nightwing and The AFCEA Educational Foundation
  • Supports students pursuing degrees aligned with cyber intelligence and national security

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited community college or four-year college or university
  • Undergraduate applicants must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors or pursuing a master’s degree
  • Must be majoring in a cyber intelligence or closely related STEM field
  • Must maintain a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA
  • Must demonstrate strong academic performance and aptitude in STEM subjects
  • Qualifying majors include cybersecurity, computer science, cyber security engineering, information security, applied information technology, cyber intelligence and security, cybersecurity risk management, intelligence analysis, or artificial intelligence

Application Process

  1. Complete the online scholarship application when it opens on October 1
  2. Submit an official transcript including completed coursework and grades
  3. Arrange for electronic transcript submission to the designated email address or mail an official copy if required
  4. Obtain at least one letter of recommendation from a professor at your current institution
  5. Ensure the recommender submits the letter in PDF format by email
  6. Write and submit a brief essay of 250 words or less describing financial need
  7. Confirm all application materials are submitted and complete by the stated deadline

This scholarship will be applied toward the student's ongoing higher-level academic education. Applicants must attend an accredited Community College or four-year college/university. The Nightwing Scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students.
