Scholarship Description

Every year, the NJCPA Scholarship Fund attracts the best and brightest New Jersey students into the accounting profession and provides the resources needed for students from diverse fields to pursue an accounting education.

Scholarship Details

  • Sponsored by the NJCPA Scholarship Fund
  • One-year scholarship valued at $1,500
  • Recipients are paired with NJCPA mentors during their college years
  • Mentors provide guidance on academics, the accounting profession, and the CPA exam
  • The scholarship fund has awarded more than $7 million to over 2,000 New Jersey students since 1960

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a graduating high school senior in New Jersey
  • Must plan to attend college
  • Must intend to major in accounting or complete a concentration in accounting that includes at least 24 accounting credit hours
  • Must satisfy all application requirements established by the NJCPA Scholarship Fund

Application Process

  1. Complete the NJCPA Scholarship Fund application.
  2. Provide all required academic and personal information.
  3. Submit any supporting documentation requested by the scholarship committee.
  4. Ensure the completed application is submitted by the published deadline.
  5. If selected, participate in the NJCPA mentoring program during your college education.

Thanks to the generous support of NJCPA members and New Jersey accounting firms, the Fund has supported more than 2,000 New Jersey students totaling more than $7 million in awards since 1960. The Fund has helped to increase the number of both minorities and women who enter the profession, and many scholarship recipients have been the first to attend college in their families.
