Scholarship Description

The Norman S. The scholarship is awarded annually to promising M.Sc. or Ph.D. students whose research is likely to make a significant contribution to the understanding of Great Lakes fishery science. Applicants must be master's or Ph.D. students at the time of application, whose proposed research topic is relevant to Great Lakes fishery research, and who have not previously received the award.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must

  • be a master's or Ph.D. student whose proposed research topic is relevant to Great Lakes fishery research
  • not have received the award previously
  • not be a current member of the IAGLR Board of Directors or part of a current board member's immediate family (parents, children, spouse, siblings)

Up to 2 scholarships of $3,000 each can be awarded.
