Students are automatically considered for scholarships upon admission. A separate application is not required. In order to receive scholarships at Northern Arizona University, applicants must: be an incoming freshman; meet Arizona Proposition 300 Public Program eligibility requirements; must not have received a baccalaureate degree; must be enrolled full-time; and must attend the Flagstaff Mountain campus. The offer of admission must be accepted and the enrollment deposit paid by May 1 for the following academic year. If awarded, high school transcripts must be submitted per the instructions provided in the award letter.
The Northern Arizona University President’s Excellence Non-Resident Tuition Scholarship is an $11,000 a year award given to Arizona nonresidents. Eligible applicants must have a 3.5 GPA. This award can be combined with other outside tuition scholarships as long as it does not exceed the cost of tuition. It cannot be combined with other merit-based tuition scholarships offered at NAU. Applicants must maintain a 2.0 GPA.
