The Northwest Farm Credit Services Minority Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors and current college students from underrepresented groups pursuing an agricultural or business-related degree or trade-related certificate that positively influences that agriculture industry. Awards are based on school and community involvement, scholastic performance and educational goals. In addition to completing the scholarship application, students will also need to complete an essay, and submit a transcript and a recommendation letter.
Students recently graduating from high school and current college students who meet all of the following qualifications are eligible to apply. Applicants must: be a high school graduate with plans to attend a post-secondary institute or be a current college student enrolled full time; be attending or plan to attend an accredited two or four-year college located in Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah or Washington; be a U.S. citizen or legal resident of the United States; and not be a previous winner of a Northwest FCS or Farm Credit West college scholarship.
