The Genesee Valley Chapter of the New York Water Environment Association will be offering up to two (2) scholarships for a total amount of $3,000.
Scholarship Details
- Up to two scholarships awarded for a total of $3,000
- Open to high school seniors and college students in environmental programs
- Application deadline is May 31st
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a New York State resident
- High school senior accepted into an environmentally related college program
- College student in good standing entering sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate year in an environmentally related field
- Pursuing a career that supports environmental protection or sustainability
Application Process
- Complete all sections of the scholarship application clearly and completely
- Provide a letter on college stationery verifying enrollment or acceptance in an environmental program
- Submit two letters of recommendation, including one from a teacher
- Attach an official transcript or report card
- Write and attach two essays (500–600 words each) addressing your career objective and environmental efforts
- Submit the full application by May 31st
- Awards announced on or around August 1st
