The Omics Discovery Grant provides scientists with innovative and accessible tools to propel their research. With the unique RiboFree universal rRNA depletion technology at its core, this grant enables researchers to explore the transcriptome of ANY organism through Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)-based RNA analysis.
Scholarship Details
- Up to ten awards granted annually
- Each award includes a Zymo-Seq RiboFree Total RNA Library Kit
- Includes sequencing and bioinformatics analysis
- Additional $2,000 credit toward Zymo RNA-Seq sample prep technologies
- Award must be redeemed within two years of notification
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must submit original proposals written in English
- Proposed research must explore transcriptomics and align with the goals of the grant
- Applicants must agree to cite Zymo Research products and share findings with the Zymo community
- Open to scientists conducting innovative RNA research at any stage
Application Process
- Prepare a research proposal that highlights scientific innovation and social impact in transcriptomics
- Ensure the proposal is original, complete, and written in English
- Submit your application via Zymo Research by August 30th at 11:59 p.m. PT
- Await notification by September 20th
- If selected, plan and execute your project within two years of receiving the award
Up to ten research proposals will be awarded the Omics Discovery Grant. This prize includes a Zymo-Seq RiboFree Total RNA Library Kit, sequencing, bioinformatic analysis, along with an additional $2,000 credit that can be applied toward any of the RNA-Seq sample prep technologies as part of the complete workflow
