The Lions Clubs of District 35-O offer two scholarship opportunities for high school seniors in Florida to support their educational and personal development goals. These scholarships recognize academic achievement, leadership, and community service, and may be applied toward college expenses or educational travel.
Lion Dennis Dulniak Book Scholarship
- Award: $1,000
- Eligibility: Graduating seniors from:
- Paul J. Hagerty High School
- Oviedo High School
- Winter Springs High School
- Application Deadline: Must be submitted electronically by February 16
- Purpose: Assists with book and school-related expenses
Youth Exchange Scholarship Trust Fund (YESTF)
- Award: Multiple $1,000 scholarships
- Eligibility: Seniors graduating from high schools in District 35-O, which includes:
- Orange, Seminole, Brevard, Citrus, Flagler, Hernando, Lake counties
- Parts of Levy, Osceola, Polk (north of Hwy 50), Sumter, and Volusia counties
- Application Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by February 7
- Purpose: In memory of Youth Exchange student Paivi Harittu; can be used for college or educational travel
Application Process
- Review eligibility for each scholarship based on your school and county of residence
- Prepare your application materials, which may include transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement
- Submit:
- Lion Dennis Dulniak Book Scholarship — submit electronically by February 16
- YESTF Scholarship — mail completed application with a postmark no later than February 7
