Scholarship Details
- Award is disbursed as one check made payable to the medical school, not the individual applicant
- Check is mailed to the recipient's home address for delivery to the correct medical school office
- Selection is made by a committee composed of the board of directors (excluding Dr. Jerkins) and the executive director
- Notifications regarding application status and award are sent via email
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DACA recipient
- Must be enrolled full-time in an accredited U.S. medical school during the 2024-2025 academic year
- Must belong to an underrepresented ethnic or racial minority as defined by the National Science Foundation (African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Pacific Islander)
- Employees of Panacea Financial and their families are not eligible
Application Process
- Submit the online application through the Panacea Financial website
- Upload an official transcript from your medical school to verify enrollment
- Include a picture of your medical school ID badge
- Check your email regularly for application submission confirmation, eligibility updates, and selection results
