Parda’s Scholarship Program was established in 2006 to honor college students who have shown educational excellence and leadership in their schools and communities.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence and community leadership
- Membership in Parda Credit Union is not required to apply but is required to receive the scholarship
- Applicants must submit an essay answering one of the proposed questions in 1,000 words or less
- Scholarship funds can be applied to tuition at accredited colleges, universities, community colleges, U.S. trade schools, or vocational schools
- Previous recipients and applicants may reapply if eligibility criteria are met
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college, community college, university, trade, or vocational school in the U.S.
- Must demonstrate participation in service to their school and/or community
- Must be willing to become a member of Parda Credit Union if selected as a scholarship recipient
Application Process
- Review the proposed essay questions and select one to address
- Write an essay of 1,000 words or less answering the chosen question
- Submit your completed application and essay before the deadline
- Await notification of selection results
- Become a Parda Credit Union member if selected as a scholarship recipient
