The Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women's Memorial Scholarship is offered to any Pennsylvania woman in the sophomore or junior class of an accredited college or university in a four year undergraduate degree program. Eligible applicants must be in academic good standing and be a registered Democratic voter. Applicants must possess family Democratic Party background or be an active participant in the activities of the Democratic Party. The number of awards and the dollar amounts will vary.
In 1927, the Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women Inc., was founded to promote the appointment and election of Democratic women to responsible positions within all branches of government, to encourage the advancement of women in both the public and private sectors, and to advocate the principles of the Democratic Party. Women college students whose need and dedication to Democratic principles are noteworthy may apply for PFDW scholarships.
