- Pennsylvania resident
- Demonstrated financial need (FAFSA on file)
- High school graduate
- Enrolled in an accredited, eligible college

Application Process
- Complete the FAFSA well in advance of its deadline
- If you are a first-time PA State Grant applicant, complete the PA State Grant Form (SGF) when prompted
- If you are renewing your award, you may also be required to complete the SGF; do so if prompted
- Submit any additional documents the PHEAA requests before the deadline
- Maintain your enrollment status and financial need to renew the award annually
In rare situations with complicated extenuating circumstances, the PHEAA may consider applications submitted after the deadline.
