The Phoenix Energy Scholarship, formerly known as the Phoenix Capital Group Scholarship, empowers students pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry.
Scholarship Details
- Award amount: $15,000
- Open to first-year students enrolling full-time at an accredited college or university in the coming Fall
- Intended for students pursuing a degree aligned with a career in oil and gas (e.g., petroleum engineering)
Eligibility Criteria
- First-year student accepted to an accredited college or university
- Must be enrolling full-time for the Fall semester
- Must be pursuing a degree related to the oil and gas industry
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5
Application Process
- Prepare a 2,000-word (or longer) essay describing your career goals and passion for the oil and gas industry
- Include your high school GPA and any college GPA if applicable
- Discuss your interest in the industry, anticipated challenges, and your vision for the future of oil and gas
- Submit your essay through the official application form between May 5th and July 13th
- Wait for the winner announcement in August
Once the winner has formally accepted the award, their enrollment and credentials will be verified with their college or university. Upon successful verification, scholarship funds will be sent directly to the university to be applied toward the student’s tuition.
