The Pinay Aspire Scholarship supports young Filipino women in the San Francisco Bay Area who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and pride in their cultural heritage.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarship award of $1,000 to each selected recipient
- Open exclusively to residents or students within the nine San Francisco Bay Area counties
- Supports young women of Filipino descent entering college the following academic year
Eligibility Criteria
- Must reside in or attend school within one of the nine San Francisco Bay Area counties
- Must be a high school student of Filipino descent planning to attend college next academic year
- Must demonstrate personal, academic, and/or community success
- Must have experienced personal hardship and express pride and connection to Filipino culture, heritage, and identity
Application Process
- Confirm eligibility as a Bay Area high school student of Filipino descent
- Prepare application materials highlighting academic achievements, community involvement, and cultural connection
- Complete the scholarship application form available through Pinay Aspirations
- Submit all required documents, including any essays or recommendation letters, by the stated deadline
- Await notification of selection and participate in the mentorship program upon award
