Scholarship Description

Turn your higher education dreams into reality with the Preferred Bank Scholarship. Preferred Bank is dedicated to empowering young individuals within its business service areas to achieve their academic aspirations. This scholarship offers eight awards of $2,000 each, providing valuable financial support to high school seniors who plan to embark on their college journey as full-time, degree-seeking students in the coming fall.

Scholarship Details

  • Eight scholarships available, each worth $2,000
  • Open to high school seniors
  • Intended for students enrolling in a U.S. Accredited 4-Year College/University or a Community College as 1st-year students in the coming fall (college acceptance letter required if selected)

Eligibility Criteria

  • High school seniors residing in specific counties within the following states:
    • California – Alameda, Contra Costa, Los Angeles, Marin, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Francisco, and San Mateo
    • New York – Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, Putnam, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Suffolk, and Westchester
    • New Jersey – Passaic, Bergen, and Hudson
    • Texas – Harris, Fort Bend, Brazoria, Montgomery, and Galveston
  • Planning to attend a U.S. Accredited 4-Year College/University or a Community College as a 1st-year student in the coming fall
  • Minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0
  • Household income at or below the Low Income Level (tax return required for verification)
  • Open to students of all majors with np ethnicity requirement
  • Employees of Preferred Bank and their immediate family members are NOT eligible to apply

Application Process

  1. Ensure you meet all eligibility criteria and reside in the specified counties.
  2. Complete the scholarship application, providing all required information and documentation.
  3. If selected, be prepared to submit your college acceptance letter for verification.
  4. Submit your application by the specified deadline and stay tuned for updates.
