The Student of the Year scholarship program awards three $1,000 scholarships to outstanding college students in public relations, communications, marketing or a related field who live or attend school in Northeast Ohio.
Scholarship Details
- Three $1,000 scholarships awarded each year
- Open to college students majoring in public relations, communications, marketing, or related fields
- Two awards for outstanding Northeast Ohio communications students
- One award for a Northeast Ohio communications student who identifies as part of a racial/ethnic minority group or the LGBTQ+ community
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be originally from Northeast Ohio or currently attending a college or university in the region
- Must be enrolled in a degree program in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field
- Must be scheduled to graduate after Sunday, August 31st
- Only one application is required to be considered for all applicable scholarships
- Only one scholarship may be awarded per student
Application Process
- Complete the official Student of the Year Scholarship Program application form
- Prepare materials that highlight your academic achievements, leadership, and dedication to the communications field
- Submit any essays, recommendations, or additional documentation as outlined in the application
- Ensure that all required materials are submitted by the specified deadline
- Wait for notification of your application status from the scholarship committee
Students who are eligible for either scholarship need only to complete and submit one application. Only one scholarship will be awarded per student. Past winners are not eligible. Prizes will be disbursed directly to the winners and are intended for any school-related expense, such as tuition, room and board, books and supplies, and other living expenses.
