Intended to encourage and aid students from Southern Arizona to attend Purdue University, the Scholarship Fund was established in 1997. The Fund is designed as an endowment, with scholarships financed by earnings from Fund investments. The principal is held and invested by the Purdue Foundation.
Eligibility
Any high school senior or returning/transferring in Purdue student who has been a resident of Southern Arizona (Cochise, Graham, Pima, Pinal or Santa Cruz County) for at least the last two years may apply for this scholarship. Any scholarship award is contingent on the applicant being accepted for admission by Purdue University and actually attending Purdue University. The scholarship typically awards a $2,000 one-year scholarship to a graduating high school senior, and up to three
$1,000 one-year scholarships to returning or transferring in Purdue students.
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on academic merit and a record of achievement and leadership in areas beyond academics, and will be approved by the Purdue Division of Financial Aid. Scholarships are awarded to both incoming freshmen and returning upper class Purdue Students. The application deadlines will vary, depending on whether the student is an incoming student or a current student.
