The Race For Education offers five scholarship opportunities for high school seniors and current undergraduate students preparing to attend college in the fall. Each scholarship has unique criteria and award structures, and applicants are encouraged to review and apply for the scholarships best suited to their background and goals. Applications must be completed online, with materials uploaded electronically.
Scholarship Details
- Five distinct scholarships available, some with multiple awards
- Open to high school seniors entering college and current undergraduate students
- Final award decisions will be announced by June 7th
Eligibility Criteria
- High school senior graduating this year or current undergrad
- Must be planning to attend a college or university in the upcoming academic year
- Additional eligibility requirements vary by individual scholarship
Application Process and Required Materials
- Click on each scholarship name on the official Race For Education website to begin the application
- Answer the required questions and upload necessary documentation electronically
Submit the following materials:
- Signed letters of recommendation (optional; seal may be broken for scanning)
- Current official transcript (optional, but may be requested later)
- FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR)
- If SAR is not yet available, submit parent/guardian’s prior year tax return and current year W-2, or current year’s tax return
- Financial aid award letters and documentation of any other scholarships, if applicable
The Race for Education will work with donors, its board of directors and community leaders to form a Scholarship Selection Advisory Committee whose purpose it will be to make initial scholarship award recommendations. In all events, the Race for Education shall have ultimate approval authority over final scholarship award recipients.
