Scholarship Description

The Rationalists of East Tennessee (RET) Scholarship supports the development of future leaders in the secular community by awarding ten scholarships of $2,200 each. This unrestricted scholarship can be used for tuition, books, food, rent, or other expenses, providing financial flexibility to recipients. Undergraduate and graduate students in the U.S., Canada, and U.S. territories are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a resident of the U.S., Canada, or U.S. territories at the time of application
  • Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university in the fall
  • Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible
  • Previous recipients may reapply
  • Members of the RET Scholarship Committee and Board of Directors, as well as their family members, are not eligible

Application Process

  1. Prepare your scholarship application, ensuring originality (AI-generated content will be disqualified)
  2. Submit your application between February 1 and May 1 (only the first 100 applications will be reviewed)
  3. Await notification by July 1 if selected as a winner
  4. Once matriculation is verified, scholarship funds will be distributed
