Reading Community Singers supports the advancement of music education by providing a scholarship to a student pursuing a career in music.
Scholarship Details
- One-time award of $1,000
- Sponsored by Reading Community Singers to promote music education
- Recipient must perform at the RCS concert on May 9th
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or full-time undergraduate student
- Must be pursuing a major or minor in music
- Must reside in Reading, Massachusetts, or a surrounding town
- Must be available to perform at the scheduled RCS concert date
Application Process
- Confirm eligibility based on residence, education level, and field of study
- Complete and submit the RCS scholarship application form
- Provide supporting materials as requested, such as proof of enrollment and music-related documentation
- Await selection and confirmation from the Reading Community Singers Scholarship Committee
- Prepare and perform at the May 9th RCS concert if selected as the scholarship recipient
A $1,000 merit based scholarship for a graduating high school senior or full time undergraduate college student pursuing a major or minor in music who resides in Reading, MA or a town in the surrounding area. Previous applicants who have not already received this scholarship are welcome to apply again.
