The primary purpose of the Regional Airline Association Scholarship is to assist with the education of individuals who are studying for a career in the airline industry by providing financial support.
Scholarship Details
- Three annual scholarships of $4,000 each
- Open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents
- Awards granted without regard to sex, race, religion, or national origin
- Intended for students pursuing careers in the airline industry
- Applications accepted beginning in December/January each year
Eligibility Criteria
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university program leading to a career in the airline industry
- Applicants from other majors considered if airline career goals are demonstrated through work experience or personal essay
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Must provide a transcript reflecting grades through the previous academic year (college/university only)
- Submission of a résumé outlining work, extracurricular, and/or community activities
- Submission of a career essay (up to 350 words) describing interest in the airline industry
- College or university faculty recommendation required
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Application Process
- Access and complete the online application via the RAA Smartsheet platform
- Upload a transcript reflecting grades through the previous academic year
- Submit a résumé detailing work experience, extracurricular, and/or community activities
- Provide a career essay of up to 350 words describing interest in the airline industry
- Obtain and submit a faculty recommendation
- Submit all application materials through the online system by the stated deadline
