Scholarship Description

The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Scholars Scholarship Program, administered by the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, offers promising students in our 19-county/four-state RMHC service area the opportunity to pursue higher education. This one-year scholarship is available for use at any regionally accredited, non-proprietary, technical, community, or four-year college/university.

Scholarship Details

  • One-year scholarship
  • Applicable to regionally accredited colleges/universities
  • Amounts may vary, with most scholarships at $2,000 for the academic year

Eligibility Criteria

  • U.S. citizen or legal resident
  • High school senior under 21 years old
  • Minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA
  • Demonstrated financial need with an EFC (Expected Family Contribution) of $25,000 or less
  • Plan to attend a regionally accredited college/university with a full course of study in the coming fall

Application Process

  1. Create an account here when applications open.
  2. Complete the RMHC Scholarship Eligibility Questionnaire.
  3. Applicants will be notified of their scholarship award status in May-June.
