The Rocky Mountain Chapter of URISA is pleased to announce applications for the annual student scholarship is now open. Rocky Mountain URISA takes pride in supporting students of all levels while they pursue their education in the geospatial sciences. Any graduate or undergraduate student attending school in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming is eligible to apply.
In addition to receiving a financial scholarship, Rocky Mountain URISA will showcase the awardees work on the web.
Awards:
PhD Candidates: $500
Graduate/Master’s Students: $500
Undergraduate/Certificate Students: $500 (Degree seeking 4-year or 2-year students with GIS certificate)

Rules:
Any graduate,undergraduate, or certificate student attending school in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming is eligible to apply.
Membership is not required but is encouraged.
The board of directors of Rocky Mountain URISA will judge submissions based on merit and relevancy of the project, and/or the number of people served by the award.
Recipients of the scholarships will be announced in November.
Members of the boards of the five GISITR societies are not eligible to apply.

Proof of current enrollment
Current transcript (unofficial is accepted)
Letter of Recommendation
