CFY's Richard O. Jacobson Post-secondary Scholarship Program is open to all Pinellas County High School seniors with an expected spring graduation, or equivalent. Through partnerships with local sponsors, over $100,000 in post-secondary awards are distributed each year. Applications are evaluated by the CFY Scholarship Committee based on a variety of criteria including extracurricular activity, community service, and an essay. Prior participation in a CFY sponsored program or other athletic organization is not required for consideration.
Awards vary in amount and quantity available, including one $3,500 trade/vocational/technical school scholarship, one $5,000 college/university scholarship and a $10,000 college/university scholarship. CFY is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating the youth of Pinellas County through access to athletics and other skill-building programs where children from all backgrounds can learn, play, and grow together. Regardless of the outcome, all applicants will receive decision communication.
