The SAE International Mobility Scholarship supports students pursuing careers relating to the evolution of clean, safe, and accessible mobility solutions which is driven by connected, automated, energy efficient, and shared technologies to advance the future of transportation and the user experience.
Scholarship Details
- Three or more scholarships awarded annually
- $5,000 awarded per scholarship
- Available to incoming freshmen through graduate students
- Funds may be used for tuition or other incidental education expenses
Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. Resident
- Open to all applicants - incoming freshman GPA 3.75; college upperclassmen (incoming sophomore, junior, senior, and graduate students) 3.5 GPA
- Pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics or similarly related engineering degree through an attending a US ABET accredited program
- Provide two (2) Letters of Recommendation – one (1) that focuses on academics and one (1) that speaks to your participation in extra-curricular, association/community service or employment activities that reflect your commitment to inspire youth to explore and pursue STEM education and careers
- Show examples of STEM studies or coursework applicable to automotive and other mobility/transportation related industries
- Demonstrate a commitment to pursue STEM studies/careers through substantial involvement/leadership in school, work, community, club, volunteer, or mentorship activities. (Extra point for demonstrating involvement in Automotive Industry)
Application Process
- Complete the SAE International scholarship application
- Submit two letters of recommendation including one academic and one activity-based reference
- Provide examples of relevant STEM coursework or studies
- Document leadership, service, work, or mentorship involvement related to STEM
- Submit all required materials by the stated deadline
