Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. The Saginaw County Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship was established to assist Saginaw County student-athletes who are continuing their academic and athletic career. Applications will run from November 1 to the February deadline.
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must: be a high school senior or college student from Saginaw County; demonstrate financial need; be pursuing an undergraduate degree full-time at a Michigan college or university; have lettered in a varsity sport for at least two years; have at least a 3.0 GPA; and either be or have a parent, guardian or grandparent be a Lifetime Voting Member of the Saginaw County Sports Hall of Fame. Dollar amounts for the scholarship will vary.
