B’nai B’rith International is now accepting applications for the Sally and George Schneider Scholarship, which supports a Jewish female graduate student pursuing a degree in a field that benefits humanity. This annual award honors the legacy of Sally Schneider, a passionate advocate for education, independence, and Jewish values. The scholarship aims to empower women in the New York metropolitan area who are committed to making a difference in the world through their careers and community involvement.
Scholarship Details
- Approximately $1,400 awarded to one recipient
- Supports graduate-level study in fields that benefit humankind
- Administered by B’nai B’rith International
Eligibility Criteria
- Jewish female graduate student
- Must reside in the metropolitan New York area
- Must be enrolled in and attending a graduate program by January 31st
- Field of study must benefit humankind (e.g. medicine, education, public health, psychology, social work, etc.)
- Should demonstrate interest or involvement in Jewish culture
Application Process
- Prepare a statement (no more than two pages, typed and double-spaced)
- Include your qualifications, home address, and email in the statement
- Email the completed statement to Andrea Cure at [email protected]
- Submit your application by the April 15th deadline
